Our instructors have performed in, and presented students in countless concerts throughout the years. All are experienced, professional, and friendly teachers. Highly educated and talented musicians with a love of teaching and dedication to music.

Cynthia Brown is a graduate of the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. She received her Master of Music at Wayne State University. Cynthia taught music in public and private schools at all levels, and is owner and instructor at Lessons on B. She has sung in various music groups including the San Francisco Symphony Chorus and Cantata Academy. While with the SF Symphony Chorus, Cynthia participated in the recording and subsequent winning of two Grammies, Brahms German Requiem under the direction of Herbert Bloomstedt and Mahler Symphony No. 8 under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas.
She is currently soloist and choir director at Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church in San Francisco. She is a member of Music Teacher Association of California and Early Childhood Music and Movement Association.
Cynthia is also a member of The Chorister's Guild, Northern California chapter.

Vija Norkvesta is a graduate of the State Conservatory in Riga, Latvia. She has taught all her life, beginners to advanced, and is also proficient in accompanying. Miss Vija is a member of Music Teachers Assn. of CA and offers Certificate of Merit. She specializes in advanced students and gets excelent results in CM.

Renee Lubin and Dee Spencer offer voice lessons for jazz, blues, Broadway, standards, and contemporary songs.

Renee Lubin is a star performer in Beach Blanket Babylon in San Francisco. She has a long and varied career, and is vocal jazz coach at San Francisco State University.

Dee Spencer is professor of music at San Francisco State University, where she founded the jazz studies program. She has served on numerous jazz boards and organizations, and has performed throughout the world with many jazz greats.

Erica Messer is an extraordinary teacher and performer of harp.Classically trained, Erica studied at the Musikhochschule in Vienna, Austria after completing her Bachelor's Degree of Music in Harp at Valdosta State University where she studied with Mary Brigid Roman. She began playing at age seven, performing with orchestras and chamber ensembles and has now progressed into pop covers and new age music. Erica is an experienced, professional and seasoned performer. Erica is one of the only harpists that also sings, providing an interesting option for background music with the harp, or the versatility to move front and center with her soothing and strong vocal arrangements. This has been popular at many weddings as a transition from ceremony music to reception entertainment. She also has two harps, a small one for intimate and personal settings and a rare, antique gold concert harp "Goldie" for larger audiences and concerts. Erica performs Nationally as a soloist and is involved in many music projects in the Bay Area.

Stephen Austin teaches jazz and classical piano. He is a feature performer at the Menlo Circus and Polo Club.

Barry Gilbrech - trumpet, guitar. Barry is a professional musician and arranger who plays in various local bands.

Gene Burkert - founder of Bandorama Music School for flute, clarinet, sax, and trumpet.

Ashley Devine - is a violin instructor who has brought her students to Lesson on B. She prepares students to audition for Penisula Youth Orchestra.

Larry Dunn - acoustic & electric guitar for blues, rock, swing, r & b, folk & country. Larry has studied with the greats, and has toured a d opened for the Four Tops, Bonnie Raitt, Tower of Power, and John Lee Hooker.
Larry is a published song writer with music placed in film, TV, and Muzak. He has five CD's of original recordings.
Larry is teaching guitar, theory, song writing for beginners, and song writing for those with musical experience.
